No Excuses in December + HIIT Workout


December is a month that we tend to make excuses as to why we just can't possibly find time to exercise.  Guess what?  You need it more then EVER in December when things are crazy and stress is high.    Your body craves movement and I promise you will handle the stress better, you will feel better about yourself, and you will make better food choices because you are moving your body and actually feeling healthy.  Please hear me on this very important point, the reason I KNOW you have time to workout is because you do not have to workout for 60 minutes, not even 30 minutes.  10-20 minutes is AWESOME!  Yes it is, don't argue!  No excuses, I am telling you YOU CAN make a huge difference in your health and fitness and even weight with 10-20 minutes.  HIIT stands for high intensity interval training.  Intensity is important as well as consistency.  The intensity is important because you really light your internal fire when you do short spurts of intensity which ignites your metabolism!  We need to great a burn to see results.  Consistency is ALWAYS key in anything and everything we do.  To see results you have to show up most days of the week.  No shortcuts, no fighting this, you just do!  Those that succeed do it even when they don't want to and let me tell you, most times you will not want to but they do it anyway and boy to they reap the rewards.  You can do it!  

Here is an easy and quick HIIT workout you can do in the comforts of your own home with or without weights.  

Perform each exercise for 4 rounds of 20s of work, 10s of rest before you move on to the next exercise.  @20 minute workout

1.  Plank
2.  Squats (could add weights)
3.  Jacks
4.  Bicycles
5.  Alternating Reverse Lunges (could add weights)
6.  Skaters
7.  Side Plank Right
8.  Pushups
9.  Side Plank Left
10. Burpees
